The Caritas Charity Bazaar was successfully held at Shatin Yuen Wo Playground on 17 November 2024. Student representatives from the Student Union, Catholic Students Association, Careers & Life Planning Team, Student Ambassadors, Guidance and Counselling Team, Disciplinary Team, Voluntary Services Club, and all Form 4 students designed game booths and got involved in charity sales. Over 200 students helped with decorating the stalls and hosting games. The Bazaar provided students with learning opportunities to step out of the classroom. By demonstrating their creativity and collaboration, they obtained some work experiences and provided services for society. This year, the booth designed by 4 John students was awarded the Excellent Game Design Award.
Despite adverse weather, teachers and students put all their effort in the charity. With the joint efforts of teachers and students, this event raised $117,150.50. Together with the sale of “Caritas-Hong Kong Charity Raffle Tickets”, we raised a total of $151,450.50. All the proceeds will go to Caritas Hong Kong. It is hoped that the funds raised can optimise various services of Caritas Hong Kong, which include education, medical care, social work, and community services, and help those in need in society.
