Submission of Application

In person:
Please present the original copy of the student’s identity document and the following documents^# in the order listed below when submitting the Application Form.

(i)  Photocopy of HK Permanent Identity Card / Birth Certificate (Applicable to HK permanent resident) or other identity documents proving that the applicants are eligible for admission to HK public sector schools (Applicable to HK non-permanent resident)
(ii) A completed “Application Form for S.2 to S.4 School Places” of Immaculate Heart of Mary College with a recent photograph attached.
(iii) Photocopies of academic report cards in the past two academic years.
(iv) Evidence of participation and achievements in academic or non-academic (e.g. sports or music) aspects, extra-curricular activities and social services (Please provide the qualifications/results in the past two academic years) (if any).
(v)Photocopy of Baptismal Certificate (if applicable)

# All documents (including Application Form and supporting documents) submitted should be no more than 20 single-sided A4 pages, clipped with a binder clip. Please DO NOT submit documents with folders.

Admission Test and Interview
(i) Suitable applicants will be invited to participate in the admission test in early July, which includes Chinese, English, and Mathematics.
(ii) Applicants who achieve outstanding results in the admission test will be invited for an interview. The interview will be conducted in English and Cantonese, assessing candidates’ language ability and apprehend their personality, adaptability to response and family support. After the interview, suitable applicants will be notified of their enrolment to our College.

Application Form for S.2 to S.4 School Places

Application Forms are available from 17 November 2025 onwards. To collect the application form, you may either
(a) obtain from the School Office at 4, Jat Min Chuen Street, Shatin during office hours; or
(b) download here (please print in A4-sized white paper).

Application Period
2 January 2026 (Friday) to 16 January 2026 (Friday)

Interview
(a) All applicants will be invited to attend an interview on 7 March 2026 (Saturday).  Details will be sent to applicants by post one week before the interview date.  Please note that the time of interview will not be rescheduled.
(b) The interview will be conducted in English and Cantonese.  The interview will assess candidates’ language ability and apprehend their personality and adaptability to response.

Selection Criteria
(a) Primary school academic results and rank order (provided by Education Bureau): 50%
(b) Conduct, prizes and extra-curricular activities performance (e.g. sports, community service, music, art, STEAM, etc) 20%
(c) Interview 20%
(d) Catholic 5%
(e) Immediate relative being a current student or an alumnus 5%
