The “PolyU Junior Researcher Mentoring Programme,” organised by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University since 2021, aims to inspire senior form students’ passion for research. In the programme, scholars guide students in participating in and experiencing research projects, thereby cultivating a new generation of local research talent.

This year’s programme features 31 thematic research projects, attracting 147 students from 97 schools. Our students, Ying Cheuk Kiu Cheryl from 5 Mark and Chiu Sum Ying from 6 Luke, stood out among applicants and were selected to participate in the research projects on “Investigating Attitudes Towards Gender-nonconforming Peers” and “Youth Mental Health and Resilience” respectively.
