Our alumna Ms. Poon Ka Yan Yanis, Sisters of Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows, Managers of the School and other guests of honour officiated at the ceremony. Our School Supervisor Sister Mary Lucy Chung shared that our blessed mother would present our petitions to the Lord. She pointed out that this year’s graduation beautifully coincides with the Vigil of Pentecost, making the occasion deeply meaningful. She extended her most heartfelt blessings to all school managers, parents, teaching staff, and the entire graduating class. She encouraged all graduates and colleagues to always carry with them the maternal love and protection of Mother Mary, no matter what circumstances they may face in the future. She urged them to uphold the school motto, “Armor et Labor,” and to care for those in need. Our Principal Ms. Mok Kit Yue then presented the School Report and she expressed her gratitude to everyone for their dedication to nurturing our graduates and instilling strong values in them.
Ms. Poon Ka Yan Yanis then presided over the graduation ceremony as graduates took the stage to receive their certificates. Following the presentation, Ms. Poon delivered her address, sharing her journey from her alma mater to setting goals in the school, studying civil engineering, and later managing major urban road projects within the government. Drawing from her transition into the workforce, she gifted the graduates three golden rules for success: first, set clear milestones, stay curious, and continuously pursue self-improvement; second, harness the power of AI while always verifying the truth of digital content; and third, take the initiative to communicate and build strong relationships to find partners for the future. Recognizing that this unique class was tested by pandemic-era remote learning, she expressed confidence in their resilience and wished them a bright future.
The event drew to a close as everyone joined together to sing the school song, dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
